The educational requirements are actually very straightforward. A pilot has to be able to speak good English and he or she has to be technically minded.

In order to be able to start the training you have to have a higher level general secondary education (‘HAVO’ or equivalent) diploma, or a pre-university education (VWO) diploma with a range of subjects that includes English, Mathematics 1 and Physics 1.
