Training
To work as a pilot in Europe you must have a Commercial Pilot License (CPL), with a license for flying without any outside visual reference (IR, Instrument Rating) for multi engine airplanes (ME), completed a Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) theoretical course and the Multi Crew Co-operation (MCC) course. If you meet these minimum requirements, you qualify for a so-called Frozen ATPL which enables you to join the airline of your choice as a co-pilot. With Stella you can obtain such a license in just two years.
Once you obtained the Frozen ATPL you gain your type rating with the airline you work for. Depending on the aircraft, for instance a Boeing 737NG or Airbus 320, used by your employer, you get a rating on your license to fly a particular type of aircraft.
The training: very hard work
The flight training course at Stella aviation academy is a two-year course that consists of theory and practice.
Theory: fourteen subjects
Sometimes it seems complicated, and to many people the terminology sounds like mumbo jumbo.
Your mentor: your helping hand
During your training you have a personal mentor. Besides being able to answer all of your questions, your mentor also keeps track of the way your training is progressing and will discuss it with you if necessary.
