Fact and figures

Established in 1982 as Rob van de Sigtenhorst flying school. Stella is now one of the largest flight training schools in Europe

Stella flies an owned fleet (link our fleet) of 38 aircraft and has 12 leased aircraft
All our aircraft are managed by our own in house JAR 145 maintenance department
Stella aviation academy has 3 FNPT simulators
The Stella aviation Group has over 100 employees
Stella aviation academy has over 50 instructors
Stella aviation academy has bases (link bases) in the Netherlands: Teuge, Groningen, Maastricht, Turkey: Dalaman, Istanbul and the USA: New Smyrna Beach in Florida.
The school has a technical capacity of 200 students per annum but due to the current economy Stella has scaled back the production to 120 students per annum
Stella has no exclusive contracts with any airlines but most of our 2008 and 2009 students were placed. In the first half of 2010 Stella was able to place a majority of their students or they where hired by among others SunExpress, Freebird, Pegasus and Easyjet.
In September 2010 Stella has started a Pilot Provisioning program for airlines to further increase the opportunities of Stella graduates.
In October 2010 Stella has started a joint venture with the Gözen Group in Turkey: Stella International/Turkey.
