Once you have your license, you will start as a first officer. After a few years as a first officer, you can train for the position of captain.
“The Stella aviation academy advises you on how to behave in finding a job and has good contacts with airlines, such as Ryanair, Lufthansa, Transavia.com, Sun Express and Austrian Airlines.
The conversations I had with my mentor was very helpful. They forced me to think carefully about my future, and that’s essential,” says twenty-one-year-old Hanneke Dijksterhuis.
Hanneke has completed her training and can’t wait to enter the profession. “Ideally I’d like to start out in vicinity of the Netherlands, by working for Transavia.com, for example. But I’m happy to work anywhere. As long as I can fly!” She is really passionate about flying. “Each time you go up, it’s a totally unique experience, especially if you are in a light aircraft. When I take off and see the world beneath me get smaller and smaller, it’s as if nothing else matters.”
We create a personal profile dossier for every student who starts their training at Stella aviation academy. This dossier contains details of your progress and your behavioural characteristics. At the end of each phase of your training you have a personal or class interview with your mentor. This is a kind of performance appraisal interview. Details of the assessment are kept in your personal profile dossier.
