The training: very hard work
Within the JAR-FCL regulations you have three years to complete your pilot training from the moment you start. The full-time training at Stella takes about two years. The training comprises two components: theory and practice.
Theory
The theoretical training covers fourteen subjects, from radiography and meteorology to flight planning and should take about eight months to complete, provided you pass all of your examinations in the first attempt. This part of the training is given at Maastricht Aachen Airport, the Netherlands. For a list of all subjects, click here.
Practice
Once you have completed the theoretical part in the Netherlands, you enter the practical training in Dalaman, Turkey and Maastricht Aachen Airport, the Netherlands. This is where your flying skills really take off, this is your chance to fly, alone or with an instructor. In a Cessna or a Piper, or in our simulator to learn multi-crew flying skills. The last phase of your training is dedicated to the Multi crew co-operation course which will be given on a Beech 200 simulator and a Boeing 737NG Full Flight Simulator, organized in cooperation with the Gözen Group in Istanbul. Supervision
Throughout the training, i.e. from the moment students join the school until their graduation, the manager students records all technical and non-technical student evaluations drawn up on the basis of the SHAPE assessment system. To generate a student profile, these evaluations are combined with the selection results, the theoretical examinations and the personal career path. This profile is compared with the airline’s profile requirements to find the right match. This guarantees a great success rate in the airlines' recruitment procedures. The method benefits both the airlines and the students.
