Checklist
Minimum age 17
Maximum age 30

Training to be a pilot is often a childhood dream. But you start your training a bit later. So what is the best age to start your training?

It is best to begin your training at a fairly young age. You can start training to be a commercial pilot from the age of seventeen.

There is not a hard and fast cut-off point, but it is good to be aware that if you start your training much later you may find it more difficult to get a job. Simply because airlines are able to pay younger pilots a lower starting salary.

Ideally you should begin your training between the ages of 17 and 30.
