Dreamers talk about flying

Clint, Wendy, Gerbert, Jeroen, Frans, Maaike and Renee are all living their dream. A dream they had from a young age. Take Maaike. Her father was a pilot and she’s following in his footsteps. Jeroen Hulskers is waiting to make his first solo flight, and Frans has just started working for KLM.

According to Tessa it’s simply a matter of getting used to it. Now she finds flying easier than driving a car. Off to Maastricht? Follow the A2, turn left at the river and carry straight on.

The way I feel about flying has never changed, but what once seemed impossible is now becoming a reality.

Maaike is following in her father’s footsteps

“Initially I wondered whether I should be a doctor. But from the age of fifteen I was absolutely certain that I wanted to be a pilot.”

Jurriën always believed he had what it took to become a pilot

“Why did I want to become a pilot? It was the world I was born into. Hoofddorp, Schiphol… I was often there as a child.”

Clint feels like a mountain climber

When I was sixteen I sat the entrance exam for the Royal Military Academy of the Netherlands, but I failed the test. I was too young, too cocky and too busy being an adolescent.
